OUR DIRECTORS

Commitment, perseverance, experience, and a passion for camp – that’s what our leadership team is all about. These are the people who want to ensure that every aspect of a camper’s day is the best it can be. They are responsible for every major component at our camp and handpick the Counselors, and Program Specialists who guide your children through their daily activities. From the moment you meet them, three things will be immediately evident:

Rachel Galatt

Rachel is co-owner of Fitness with Friends and is Co-Director of Camp Fun In The Sun.

Rachel lives in River Vale with her husband and 2 daughters, Mia and Zoe. Rachel worked at her families camps, Camp Lymelight and Fun Time Vacation Tours, both for the handicapped, while she was growing up. She always enjoyed helping to ensure campers the best summers possible.

Lauren Buyers

Lauren is the Director of Camp Fun In The Sun and lives Emerson with her daughter Elle. Lauren has her masters in education and over 25 years experience with kids. She designs and implements the weekly activities and oversees all counselors with the campers happiness and safety in mind!

Melissa Posner

Melissa is the Assistant Director of Camp. She resides in Closter with her husband and 2 kids. Melissa currently works in the River Vale School System as a Lunch Aide in Woodside and worked at Camp Fun in the Sun in 2023. She loves hanging out with the kids and making sure they are having a blast and staying safe.
